Fall Trends 2018
Dressing for Autumn is always a great opportunity to amp up your fashion game. The cooler months allow for layering, textures, and of course a chance to enhance your personal style.
The Thicker Necktie:
Guess who’s making a comeback? The thicker necktie is trending this fall which is great news for all of you who were not loving the skinny. Now is a great time to rock the tie with a suit to work or out at night with friends. Ties are no longer reserved for dress code or the office but can also be worn with jeans and a vest, jacket or sweater for a sophisticated casual look.
Knits are so big this season, they are literally the hottest thing. We have even seen the knit trend infiltrating into the necktie styling too. Embrace the trend by going for that knitted necktie, or choose a nice knit cardigan for a more subtle look. Keep an eye out for those timeless bold colors to keep the trend fresh and new for this season.
This year, quilted clothing is a must which is super functional as well. You can wear a quilted jacket over just about anything for just about any occasion: It’s perfect for work and that brisk walk outdoors. One of the best parts about quilted jackets is that, while warm, they aren’t completely bulky keeping a sleek look and silhouette. if you’re going for the cool, sophisticated and tailored look, you’re in luck the quilted jacket is all that and will keep you warm to boot!
Double Breasted Coats:
Boxy and double-breasted coats swept the runway for men’s fashion this year. If you’re trying to figure out what to wear to work, look no further than these double-breasted coats. Go for it over your trim jacket and pair it with one of those thick neckties. You’ll look great all buttoned up.
That Seventies Vibe:
Welcome to the ’70s throwback year, now is your chance to channel those old pictures of your dad from back in the day. There’s a vintage look for everyone, from oversized pants to bomber jackets. Pair your pilot-inspired fur-trim jacket with a pair of jeans and a T-shirt for a chill but stylish look.
Orange is the New Black:
Fall’s color spectrum is bright and bold, fun and exciting. Orange is especially huge this season. If you’re going for understated, try out orange highlight pieces, like a beanie or a pair of sneakers. If you’re feeling bold and are not afraid of color go for something bolder, like an orange sweater. Either way, pair your statement hue with some relaxed blacks and browns so it can pop.
Sportswear has been trending for a few seasons now, and it seems that it is here to stay. Stay snug and stylish with a ’90s-inspired tracksuit or a nice, warm pair of well-tailored sweats to keep your look more casual. Be sure to have a cool pair of sneakers to finish this look.
